Hope Rise Foundation Nepal Wins CADE AI Artivism for Digital Rights Competition!

We are proud to announce that Hope Rise Foundation Nepal has been selected as one of the winners of the CADE AI Artivism for Digital Rights Competition, co-funded by the European Union and supported by Forus!

Our AI-generated artwork, titled “Empowering Civil Society in the Digital World”, powerfully portrays diverse human figures standing before a locked digital gate—symbolizing both challenge and hope. The piece was recognized for centering on human dignity, showcasing how civil society can actively shape digital justice.

“At HopeRise Foundation Nepal, we believe that digital spaces must be inclusive, just, and empowering for all. Through our AI-driven art project, we are amplifying the voices of communities that have been marginalized in Nepal and raising awareness about the urgent need for digital rights.”
Anish Karki, HopeRise Foundation Nepal

This award opens new doors. We are planning to organize exhibitions in schools and community halls to showcase the artwork and facilitate discussions on digital rights. We aim to engage young people and artists in the local #Let’sTalkDigital campaign and build a network of changemakers using art and activism for digital justice.

💡 Why This Matters:

  • 80% of HopeRise Foundation’s leadership is made up of women
  • We focus on education, healthcare, and community development
  • We advocate for inclusive and just digital spaces in Nepal

This milestone strengthens our commitment to using creativity and technology for social justice in Nepal and beyond.
